3. How we share information
We are a comparison service, not an insurer. We share personal information only as described here:
- Insurance carriers: when you choose to click through to a carrier, you are directed to that carrier's own website, where you provide your details directly to them under their privacy policy. We do not transmit your saved quote details to carriers on your behalf.
- Service providers: vetted hosting and infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements.
- Legal & safety: where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, property or safety.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. International data transfers
The Service may be operated from, and data may be processed in, the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal data out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and quote history for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual quote requests at any time, and you may request deletion of your account. We may retain limited information where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.
6. Your rights
European Economic Area / United Kingdom (GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access and delete it, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

7. Security
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including password hashing, encrypted session cookies and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
